In this video we show, compare and discuss  the implementations of several algorithms to detect or indicate moving targets. The signals are detected with SkyRadar's NextGen 8 GHz Training radar and visualized with the FreeScopes Environment.

SkyRadar's FreeScopes Basic I includes the Moving Target Algorithm. In this video, we compared the radar image of pure unfiltered I/Q raw data and data after treatment through an MTI block and a subsequent static threshold.

The Standing Person Recognition Algorithm – SPRA provides the capability to detect reflections coming from a standing target (person), which exists in a stationary environment.  It is included in SkyRadar's FreeScope ATC I.

The Moving Target Detection is a highly reliable algorithm for detection of moving targets and temporarily non-moving targets in the constant presence of clutter. It is implemented in SkyRadar's ATC I Module.

This article features a video on an FFT plot. It has been implemented in real-time, just by connecting and calibrating the blocks in the block-diagram. The video shows well how the FFT amplitude moves to the right, when the person approaches and to the left when the person moves away from the source.
