SkySim ECCM I
Instructor-controlled noise-jamming, range-deception and RGPO scenarios.
FreeScopes ECCM I
FreeScopes ECCM I, formerly FreeScopes Disturbance Filtering & Analysis I, introduces trainees to the detection and analysis of radar disturbances and deception effects. Students work with controlled jamming and range-deception scenarios and build their own FreeScopes processing chains to identify, compare and mitigate their impact on radar data.
In shared classroom exercises, the disturbance scenario is normally configured centrally by the instructor or administrator, while each trainee independently applies ECCM analysis and processing in their own FreeScopes workspace.
Designed for military radar academies, ATSEP training, universities and radar-engineering laboratories using supported radar, simulator or replayed datasets.

FreeScopes ECCM I follows a practical training chain: controlled disturbance → radar effect → detection → analysis → filtering or mitigation → comparison. Trainees first examine what a disturbance changes in the radar data, then select and compare suitable processing methods.
In the standard shared-classroom setup, the instructor or administrator normally configures the ECM scenario centrally. Students receive the same live, simulated, recorded or replayed scenario stream and independently build their own ECCM processing chains in FreeScopes.
Radar & DSP Foundation → ATC / Detection Processing → ECCM I → ECCM II
ECCM I introduces disturbance detection and analysis after the radar and surveillance-processing foundation. ECCM II continues with advanced deception-analysis topics including SASP, AGPO and VGPO detection.
Not every scenario is available from every data source. Delivered exercises depend on the selected radar, simulator, replay data and licensed extensions.
After completing the module, trainees can explain how jamming and range deception affect radar data; distinguish barrage, sector, static deception and RGPO-oriented effects; assemble first-level ECCM detection and filtering chains; compare MTI, Clutter Map, MTD, Kalman and Doppler Phase Shift approaches; and interpret processed plots and tracks under controlled disturbance conditions.
