NextGen 8 GHz Pulse Radar
The NextGen 8 GHz Pulse Radar is SkyRadar’s compact real-radar training platform for hands-on measurements, radar fundamentals and signal-processing exercises. It supplies real radar returns and IQ data for visualisation and processing in FreeScopes.
With 1.4 GHz transmit bandwidth, better than 11 cm range resolution, >25 m validated range and 23.3 GS/s receive sampling, it supports practical laboratory work with targets, movement and propagation.
With the NextGen 8 GHz Pulse Radar, multiple students can run their own experiments concurrently, in the laboratory or remotely—enabling true individual hands-on training at scale.

SkySim supplies the complementary simulated path into FreeScopes. The radar generates real measurements; FreeScopes provides the trainee analysis environment; and CloudServer supports larger classrooms where required.
CloudServer is not mandatory for every minimal setup. SkySim is complementary and is not required for live radar measurements.
After completing the exercises, trainees can explain pulse-radar measurements, interpret real IQ data, measure range and target behaviour, apply signal-processing and detection methods in FreeScopes, and distinguish live, recorded and simulated data paths.
